A Spring Wedding at Glasgow University Chapel for Stacey & Callum
It was a gloriously sunny spring day for Stacey and Callum’s wedding photography at Glasgow University Chapel on Saturday. With some friends and family arriving from afar – New Zealand, San Diego, Burma, and Berwick, most of whom they knew from school, the day felt full off camaraderie and glee.
Congratulations, ‘Just-Marrieds’! Here is your first look at your wedding photographs from your fabulous Glasgow University Chapel spring wedding. Thank you for asking me to come up from Yorkshire to your beautiful city to capture and share the memories! Right now, this is all about the two of you. There will be pictures of your families and friends to follow in another week or so.
Both being graduates of the University and residents of the West End of the city, they are rooted in Glasgow and chose to have their ceremony in the magnificent University Memorial Chapel and a reception for family and friends at nearby award-winning Stravaigin restaurant.
The splendour of the Memorial Chapel with its Scots Gothic architecture and the casually stylish and ‘Exotically Scottish’ choice of reception venue, combined with fantastic Easter weather, made for a truly fabulous wedding.
With the Chapel set next to the quadrangles on cloisters on the Gilmorehill campus overlooking the city and with Kelvingrove Park close by and trees in full blossom, there were lots of opportunities for gorgeous wedding photography!
Stacey chose a beautiful creamy ivory dress with pockets, some sparkle on the waist and a boat neckline from David’s Bridal of Glasgow.
They met 14 years ago, introduced by Stacey’s best friend. More about that later. Callum proposed on Stacey’s 30th birthday, which also marked 10 years of their coupledom.
More to follow in a week or so. If you would like more wedding loveliness, head on over to The Wedding Gallery
