IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE ARE A GOOD MATCH SO WHAT'S YOUR STYLE OF WORKING ON THE DAY?
Modern weddings are fluid and my style is natural, blending in and working with the flow of your wedding. I offer direction where required to help things run smoothly and to make sure we make the most of beautiful light and backdrops. It's one of the most outrageously gorgeous events we ever experience after all!
The worst assumption to make is that photographers are all the same. It's like going to a different hair salon every month and expecting to love your experience & hair style every time!
WE HAVE SEEN FRIENDS PICTURES THAT LOOK QUITE MOODY AND DRAMATIC, YET THEY MARRIED ON A BEACH IN ITALY IN MAY? WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?
When it comes to how your finished pictures will look, I know there are photographer styles of careful, skilled editing that range from ethereal, to punchy, to moody. Your friends preferred a darker editing style. As always, it's key to choose what is right for you - what will you enjoy looking at years after your wedding day is over?
My style of editing matches the available light, the season you chose to marry and the surroundings of your wedding, as well as the vibe of your wedding.
If you marry by the seaside on a bright, clear day, your photographs by me will feel free and light, they will only start to look dark when the sun starts to set.
Should you choose to marry in the countryside, your photographs by me will include nature, and textures. A Christmassy or wintry wedding will look cosy, warm and twinkly inside and most likely dramatic or moody outside, unless there is sun glinting off snow. If you choose me to photograph your elopement to Skye or Iceland, your pictures will be dramatic taking in the characteristic landscape and generally darker light. Autumnal wedding photographs will be full of the richness of autumnal colours... you get the picture...
If you like-love the photographs that I show of other people's weddings, it's a great start because think how much you'll love your own.
Harmony rocks so I care that we connect because there is such a thing as the right photographer for you and your day.
OUR PHOTOGRAPHS ARE VERY VALUABLE TO US. SOME SECURITY & REASSURANCE WOULD BE GREAT.
For over 10 years, I have been making my couples happy with pictures they LOVE. This has been my full-time career since 2007.
I formally studied Photography & Digital Design at Leeds, and regularly update and practice my skills. Studying medium and large format film, digital, plus design in a truly, deeply, madly, happy way with other creatives was the best time. Photographing with other professional photographers, as well as stylists, florists and other creatives always enriches my day.
I am also a qualified professional licentiate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography and of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. These are independent professional bodies who assess the technical & compositional quality of photographs via screen as well the actual physical print quality.
Fully insured, you will also receive a clear contract before you book so that we all know what to expect.
CAN YOU PROVIDE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Mais oui. Couples typically require a second photographer if they want a lot of images of bride and groom preparations in separate locations, or sometimes if they have a lot of guests and value mostly reportage photography for most of their wedding.
If you're having fireworks and want to get great images of both the fireworks and the guests at the same time, I often recommend a professional second photographer just for the evening.
We work it all out when we talk through your wedding day plans and find out your main priorities for your photo-memories.
WE WOULD LOVE AN ALBUM
It's great to have a photo-memory that is beautifully tangible - I agree. A professionally designed contemporary album can be added before or after your wedding. Often couples add one as a guest wedding gift. I work with the best specialist providers of professionally produced handmade wedding albums.
WE ARE INTERESTED, WHAT DO WE DO?
As you've got this far I'm hoping that you love the pictures and you recognise the lasting power of emotive photography and value quality over quantity.
We talk. If we connect and you want to book me then I send out a contract. If you're happy you pay the booking fee and it's booked! (Thank you, xox).
My Top Tips follow....we talk through some of the day's details so we all know what to expect... the balance is paid...and before you know it...it's your wedding morning!
I give you photographs that let you step right back into your wedding every time you look at them!
