Thicket Priory Wedding Photography

Many wedding creatives fell in love with the beautifully restored Thicket Priory wedding venue near York from the first visit. Because we couldn’t wait to work and photograph there, we decided to plan and style our own Thicket Priory wedding. Photography to show you how it could look on your wedding day, even in the winter right here!

You could wear a ‘big’ dress during the day, and a simpler one to dance around in

If you like more of a fashion-style look, there are plenty of spots near beautiful windows for that too

Why not wear a stylishly simple dress too?

Thicket Priory Wedding Styling

With soft, neutral colours in most rooms and big, beautiful windows, you can choose your favourite colours for your wedding day styling. From subtle to dramatic, this could be the wedding venue of your dreams to style as you like.

The History of Thicket Priory

Thicket Priory was originally built in the 1840s by Edward Blore who is famously known for his work on Buckingham Palace. It was a cosy, tranquil secret place until it was recently lovingly restored to boast 35 stunningly stylish bedrooms, and even a helipad. You can marry inside or outside – there are 18 acres of grounds as well as a boathouse to go with that private lake, and even a helipad. It’s one of the most beautiful grand houses I have ever photographed.
