Thorner Wedding Photography / Gemma & Jez
Welcome to the very pretty country wedding of Gemma & Jez. They chose to marry and celebrate very close to their home in Thorner, a small village between Wetherby and Leeds in West Yorkshire. We were delighted to cover their Thorner wedding photography from the start to the dancing. With delicate greens, pale pinks and lots of bunting, there was plenty of vintage wedding inspiration and a vintage wedding bus. Here’s a short story of their perfect wedding day.
March 2013 – one of the coldest since the 80s. A crisp spring day for the very nearly-weds begins. Snow on the ground but eyecapture brides are always prepared.
And this is what the hall looked liked by 11am. A happy mix of North and South landmarks that mean a lot to Gemma, Jez and their families.
By 11.30 Jez, the groom, was almost ready too.
The guys, Richard & Jez, our groom, getting ready too – somewhere in Leeds
Fresh from the hairdressers, Gemma & sister, Mel return to Thorner

Going to the chapel! To St Peters church in Thorner, West Yorkshire to be exact. The groom with his family.
It was a special service made more poignant because it was Holy Saturday. Gemma and Jez attend St Peter’s Church regularly and the church was packed with many from the Thorner village community joining in.
It was drinks and canapes at Thorner Parish Centre after the ceremony

Many Congratulations Gem & Jez, x x
The full wedding day galleries will be ready for the new Mr & Mrs by Saturday 27 April
I can’t take all the credit – Thank you to fellow professional wedding photographer, Hannah Webster, who photographed all of the boys’ preparations.
Thank you also to Gemma & Jez who keep us fed and watered throughout the day, being relaxed with us from the start and for being rather funny.
