Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey Wedding for Anna & Teddy
A Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey wedding is definitely for you if you love the Yorkshire Dales and the sense of history amongst sweeping, serene countryside.
This is the story of Anna and Teddy’s Yorkshire Dales wedding day. A mix of cultures and families from the US, South Africa, and Yorkshire celebrated at the Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey on the Devonshire Estate. Their day began in Harrogate, North Yorkshire where Anna, her bridesmaids, brother and parents got ready at the family home while her groom, Teddy, his groomsmen and family from Boston, Massachusetts prepared at the Hotel du Vin, also in Harrogate.

You will see the ceremony archway and aisle bathed in country blooms which included Protea to represent Anna’s South African heritage. And then there are all the meaningful, symbolic touches like the mixing of sand from different beaches.

Their Love Story
Anna left her family home in Harrogate for work and adventure in San Francisco. One evening after work, she met a boy from Boston, and four years later they sealed and celebrated their love at their Tithe Barn wedding.
They went to the Amalfi Coast for their honeymoon, and I was so very happy to receive a postcard from them on handmade Amalfi paper.
“Thank you so much for being our wonderful photographer. The pictures we have seen are amazing – you have excelled yourself! Thank you for all your hard work, help and advice. It was a pleasure having you there. We had so much fun with you frolicking in the grounds of Bolton Abbey.”
With S’mores, a double confetti walk, pictures by the river, dancing, and fireworks, it couldn’t have been a happier more fun-packed day in this picturesque countryside setting. It’s no wonder that I heard Anna say that she didn’t want the day to end.
